Brahmakamal Archival Print
Price inclusive of GST
The rare Himalayan wildflower Saussurea Obvallata, commonly referred to as the Brahmakamal, is reverently offered to Lord Shiva at the holy shrine of Kedarnath. The species grows over rocks and has to be foraged. Unfortunately, it has been over-exploited to the point of becoming an increasingly rare species.
This is a museum-grade reproduction of one of three paintings on species of the Garhwal Himalayas by reputed botanical artist Avantika Shrivastav, an SBA fellow and co-founder of the Indian Botanical Art Society. These art works were commissioned by South of Indus as part of the Landour collection.
Printed on 310gsm, 100% cotton, acid-free paper
