This peppy mug, with a hand-painted 24kt gold ring, belongs to our Kalol collection. Capricious and intelligent, the rose-necked Alexandrine Parakeets, affectionately known as Hiraman Tota and Mian Mithu, captured the imagination of Indian royalty for centuries. They appear in Malik Mohammad Jayasi's Padmavat as the matchmaker between Rani Padmavati and Ratan Sen, and in popular Akbar- Birbal tales. We pay homage to these birds with animated motifs in this collection.
