We honor the age-old tradition of bronze casting, with hand-etched Harappan-style motifs of the holy Mahaseer (trans. Tiger Fish) genus of fish, many species of which are classified endangered, and are closely linked to the ancient economies of the region. They are believed to be harbingers of good luck. The three fish symbolize the holy trinity of Hindu mythology.
Bronze, known to Indians as the sacred Kansa metal, is an alloy of copper and tin that dates back 5000 years and has leant its name to the Bronze age of human civilization due to its sheer importance. This metal is also called 'phool', since it is hard but brittle.
Kansa is known to lend nutrition to food that is cooked and served in it, and is the sole metal of antiquity that is non-reactive to acidic foods and hence completely safe to dine and store in.
